A short story and podcast by Cory Doctorow, first published in Salon and under a liberal Creative Commons license. The first in his series of stories that deliberately pun the titles of classic SF stories, this one is off of Orson Scott Card's Ender's Game.
It's the story of a British schoolgirl named Anda and her adventures in online gaming, gender stereotypes ('girls kick arse!' as Liza says) and global economics. Worth a read, and listening to Alice's (an authentic British lady gamer) podcast is way fun.
